Executed on laid paper, the sheet is sound and in good original condition with strong colours throughout.
Held in a simple gilt frame under glass; unexamined out of frame.

Executed in 1909, the Persian rider clothed in his distinctive turban and sash, probably recalls a childhood memory from Buffalo Bill's Wild West shows at Earl's Court that the artist often visited when he lived around the corner in London.
