Condition

The canvas board is sound. There is some very minor old paint separation to head and upper right arm of the girl reading in the bottom right corner and some other minor spots to the mother and child behind her, otherwise in good overall condition. Under ultraviolet light, there are some flecks of retouching in the sky and some small areas along the upper right edge. There are also areas along the bottom edge and the bottom left edge that flouresce however, these appear to be the hand of the artist. Held in a plaster gilt frame.
