Description

  • height 24 in.; width 12 1/2 in.
  • 61 cm; 32 cm
each with a cartouche shaped mirror plate and molded border surmounted by a mask with a stylized scallop shell, fitted with later tôle peinte two-branch candle arms decorated with foliage.

Condition

In good overall condition with some necessary, standard restorations. Gilding rubbed in places as visible in catalogue photograph, tiny losses and with evidence of wear consistent with age and use. Later painted tôle candle branches, and small replaced element to upper border on one. Foxing to mirror plates consistent with age.
