- A WHITE-GLAZED FIGURE GROUP, 18TH / 19TH CENTURY
- 15.5cm and 13.5cm high
of a maiden playing a musical instrument for her male companion, both seated at a table with two peaches resting on the top; together with a 'blanc-de-chine' group of a demon and dragon, the demon scantily clad in a skirt tied at the waist over pantaloons, seated on a ledge above waves, the glaze of ivory tone
Condition
Some particles adhering to glaze around the base, one peg of lute missing
Demon and Dragon: left hand restored; tips of fingers and thumb on right hand chipped off; tips of dragon's horn and ear tufts chipped off; tip of one ribbon sash and points on leaf beside right foot chipped off; Dragon's head repaired at base of neck
