  • AN UNUSUAL BLUE AND WHITE VASE, EARLY KANGXI PERIOD
  • 26cm high
finely painted with a gathering of scholars drinking wine and painting, seated at a table in a garden setting, and with a long inscription, apocryphal six character Chenghua mark to the base

Condition

Chip on underside of rim approximately 5mm; hairline crack from above neck collar to body approximately 7cm; two hairline cracks from base over footrim and up 3cm one side 4cm other side. Glaze chip on exterior of footrim approximately 1.2cm
