- A COLLECTION OF SIX SILVER VINAIGRETTES
comprising a small engraved lid with applied foliate border, TS Birmingham 1835; another with an engraved floral motif lid, TS Birmingham 1832; another with a finely engraved lid with circular cartouche, WE London 1817; another with a booked shaped form MD Birmingham 1835; another with a foliate border with central cartouche engraved 'Ann.', Edward Smith Birmingham 1840; another with an engraved lid, Edward Smith Birmingham 1832
Condition
1. initials to rectangular cartouche, a hairline split to cover; small repair to one corner
2. name inscribed to cover, grill possibly regilded;
3. minor rubbing and wear to engine turned exterior;
4. good condition, minor wear and name inscribed to cartouche on cover;
5. good condition, initials inscribed to oblong cartouche, minor wear consistent with age;
6. book vinaigrettes has some overall rubbing and wear, hinge has had adjustment, small dent to underside near spine;
General wear consistent with age, possibly some regilding to grills
