  • A SWISS SILVER GILT AND ENAMEL SINGING BIRD BOX, 19TH CENTURY
  • 10cm wide, 6.5cm deep, 5cm high
the rectangular top decorated with recumbent sheep in a pastoral landscape, the central oval lid depicting two lovers and a small cavalier dog, the sides each with circular cartouches with illustrations of country landscapes

Condition

Good overall condition, a number of small pit marks to cream borders on lid and throughout, hairline to cream enamel panel at one end, the rear of box has small loss to ivory coloured border of landscape and very minor rubbing and wear consistent with handling
