a skillfully crafted timber three masted sailing vessel, fully rigged and out fitted with an oil painted landscape backdrop and the sea realistically created in painted paper, complete with key wind automation providing gentle motion for the ship amidst waves; the original glass case with velvet top and gilt wood base labelled 'After the Storm', "Asprey London by J.Cabor, rue Leot Paris' , Gold Medal of Merit, The Royal Exhibition of Arts and Crafts London 1889' , labelled to the rear and later fitting for lighting
