- Figure 20.5cm Frame 25cm wide 40cm high
the finely modelled figure with head tilted upwards, his eyes closed and mouth open, secured to later velvet backdrop with handmade nails through hands and feet, ivory 'Inri' plaque above, framed within a painted and giltwood architectural surround, with a corbelled pediment above a row of arches resting on half pilasters and stepped base
Condition
the ivory has numerous fine hairlines and the join lines for arms have discolouration, would benefit from a gentle clean by conservator
