  • A GROUP OF ASSORTED BLUE AND WHITE PLATES, 19TH CENTURY
comprising a Spode fan-shaped dish 'The Castle' pattern, 1810 -1815 with a view of the Gate of Sebastian, impressed Spode 40, with a circular dish 'Eastern port' pattern circa 1810 – 30, anchored ships, minarets, figure holding a long stemmed pipe, a horseman holding a lance in front of a century box, a border of flowers, unmarked; together with a Middlesborough pottery oval bowl 'Wild Rose pattern, indented 1834-44 and two Staffordshire transfer printed plates and a Staffordshire Willow pattern plate and shaped square dish, 'pagodas and trees' pattern

Condition

The Spode fan shape dish has minor surface scratches, the oval dish has fine all-over crazing with minor surface scratches, the shaped square dish as fine all-over crazing and discolouation to underside and minor surface scratches. The Staffordshire willow pattern plate has two chips to rim and glaze aberration, the other plates have minor surface scratches
