- A WORCESTER CHOCOLATE CUP AND SAUCER AND WORCESTER SAUCE BOAT, 18TH CENTURY
- cup 7.5cm high and 10cm diameter, saucer 4.5cm high and 15cm diameter, sauce boat 6.5cm high and 11cm long
the chocolate cup and saucer with royal blue and gilt border, and central gilded crest 'RC' with floral spray decoration, the sauce boat with gilt and floral spray decoration throughout
Condition
chocolate cup: restored to one side; large irregular piece re-applied with staples; rubbing to gilding; surface scratching;
saucer: considerable rubbing to gilding at centre where cup sits; rubbing on points to rim; surface scratching;
jug: painting and gilding bright; no chips, cracks or restorations
