polychrome wool embroidery depicting fanciful birds in a tree enclosed within a rectangular oak frame set on a semi-circular base.

Condition

Generally very good overall condition. Some rubbing and minor edge chips to the oak frame and foot as expected. There is a 1/2-inch chip to the right proper corner of the foot. The finish is slightly dull and would benefit and would benefit from a light polishing. The embroidery is stable and remarkably bright given its age.
