comprising: eight Ashworth's Ironstone dinner plates with Imari pattern borders; two Continental majolica tazzas; a majolica leaf-molded plate; an American majolica toothpick holder; an English Stone China tazza decorated with roses and a Continental red-painted terracotta wine pot made in imitation of Yixing ware, various impressed marks. Some damage and repair. 15 pieces.

Condition

Four Pieces of Majolicaware Leaf-molded footed compote – The upper edge of the rim with a shallow ΒΌ-inch (6-mm.) chip at 7 o'clock; and a 2-mm. glaze abrasion at 12:30 o'clock; otherwise good. Basket-molded footed dish - A 1-mm. chip under the rim edge, and a tiny abrasion on a flaw at the edge; the center with some crackling to the glaze; otherwise good. Leaf-molded plate – The upper edge of the rim with a 2-mm. glaze chip at 10 o'clock, an the lower edge of the branch tip with another 2-mm. glaze abrasion; the center with very, very slight glaze wear on the molded areas from use; otherwise OK. Toothpick-holder – Good other than a 3/16-inch (4-mm.) shallow chip on the rim edge at 9 o'clock. Staffordshire New Stone Cake Stand The dish with some crackling to the glaze and numerous flakes to the enamels, mostly in the turquoise-green ribbon around the rim, but also in the sprigs on the underside of the dish; and on both the ribbons and the sprigs on the foot. Set of Eight Ashworth Earthenware 'Imari'-Bordered Plates All with some crackling to the glaze and occasional very minor wear to the gilt line around the rim edge. One with a 1/16-inch (1-mm.) rim chip. One with slight overall discoloration. Two with spots of brownish discoloration in the center. One with a 1 x 5/8-inch (2.6 x 1.6-cm.) triangular and deep chip on the upper edge of the rim. Continental Pottery Yixing-Style Teapot and Cover The spout with a 3-mm. shallow chip on the edge on one side of the tip. One side with areas around the scrolls where the red has not 'taken'; the panel to the left of the handle with a 1-mm. chip on a scroll, and the panel to the left of the spout with two contiguous 2-mm. chips on a scroll.
