Description

each piece painted in the center with a floral spray within four smaller sprays on a spirally molded gilt-edged rim, comprising: an oval tureen, cover and stand, an oval dish, a circular stand, a soup plate and thirty-four dinner plates, stork marks painted in blue enamel. Some chips. 40 pieces.

Condition

Oval soup tureen - Some speckling around the lower body and the base of the interior; the handle edges with very minor wear to the gilding, and one with a 1-mm. shallow chip on the outer edge; and the footrim with a shallow 8-mm. chip underneath one side; otherwise good. The cover and stand good other than some light speckling. 10 3/8-inch oval dish and the 7 11/16-inch circular stand both good, though the dish with a ¼-inch (8-mm.) L-shaped firing crack on the upper edge of the rim. 1 soup plate - good condition other than minor central scratching. 34 plates - All with some scratching or mostly slight wear to the enamels and glaze in the center. 18 with very minor to minor wear to the gilding on the rim edge; otherwise good. Two with considerable wear to both the central enamels and the gilt edge. One with the glaze scuffed off the outer edge and underside of the rim in places, leaving slightly rough, unglazed patches on those areas - presumably a firing flaw. Two with a l-mm. chip on the upper edge of the rim at either 3 or 5:30 o'clock. One with a shallow 1/8-inch (3-mm.) chip on the outer edge of the barb at 9 o'clock. One with a shallow ¼-inch (6-mm.) chip on the outer edge at 10 o'clock. One with a 3/8-inch (8-mm) shallow chip on the upper edge of the barb at 12 o'clock. One with a deep 3/8-inch (8-mm.) chip on the upper edge of the barb at 8:30 o'clock. One with a 3/8-inch (1-cm.) chip on the upper edge of the barb at 3 o'clock. One with a deep 3/8-inch (1-cm.) square chip on the upper edge of the barb at 7 o'clock. Three with a 5/8-inch chip (1.6-cm.) on the upper edge At 11, 6:30 or 5:30 o'clock. One with a 1-inch (2.6-cm.) chip on the upper edge at 12 o'clock. One with a 1 ¾-inch (4.5-cm.) chip at 12 o'clock and a ¾-inch (1.8-cn.) chip a 1:30 o'clock.
