TWO MOUNTED PORCELAIN INKWELLS 18th/19th century

comprising one of Chinese white glazed porcelain in the shape of a small horn, with the mold design of an animal under a tree, mounted with a pierced brass cover and an inkwell, fixed on a Japanese lacquer tray decorated in gold hiramaki-e with Jo and Uba under pine trees, on a dark nashiji ground; the other with a Japanese porcelain round bowl decorated in colored enamels with Jurojin and a turtle, mounted with a brass cover and inkwell.

Lacquer tray edge has an old chip of about 1/4 in. to upper left. There is some rubbing of gold lacquer to the edge. The gilt lid for the ink well is rubbed, otherwise good condition.
