- 78.5 cm; 40.5 cm
the etched mirror plate with the figure of Theseus holding a spindle under a canopy, within an arched top and base decorated with a shell and scrolling foliate cresting and a rocaille base.
Condition
The carved decoration has been reinforced and restored, with traces of glue to the back. With some worm to the carving. Minor surface dirt. Some foxing, and minor losses to the silver underneath the glass surface, which is old. In otherwise good condition.
