Description

  • length 8 7/8 in.
  • 22.6 cm
painted in the center of the interior with the arms of Sir John Frederick, Baronet of Westminster, between the dove crest at each end and two arrangements of famille-verte and gilt shells, fungi, flowers, furled scrolls and willow branches at the sides, the exterior painted with four fruits or precious objects between a cell diaper border and a spearhead band, the coral-ground fluted spouts decorated with panels of gilt scrolls, and the border on the rim interrupted by the two fox-and-loop handles.  One handle repaired.

Condition

One handle reattached through legs and tail, ears on handles touched up, tiny chips to rim, chip near rim of one spout filled in, fracture and 1/4-inch chip on edge of opposite spout.
