the beaker in medieval style embossed with the profile of Emperor William II of Germany backed by the Prussian eagle, crown finial and claw feet, by G. Hemerling, Germany, circa 1900; the shaped oval tazza with openwork border set with rose diamonds and applied with a bird with ruby eyes, on openwork silver-gilt foot, unmarked except for later control mark
