with shaped angles and molded borders, the center engraved with a crest in a rococo cartouche flanked by crossed sprays of berried foliage and reeds, raised on four leaf-capped scroll feet, marked on underside and with scratch weights 42oz=17dwt and 40=16

cartouche circa 1735, crest late 18th century, starting to split in three places where border meets surface above feet, otherwise good
