oval, decorated with blue enamel basse-taille panels with trophies of love and gardening, a scene of a ship in a classical port, and bouquets of flowers, framed by chased pilasters, masks, flowers and scrolls, the cover mounted with an enamel miniature of Queen Marie Leczinska after Van Loo, marked with the charge mark for Eloi Brichard, 1762-68, and discharge mark for Julien Alaterre, 1768-1774
