of cartouche form with bombé sides, painted in rose camaieu with riverside scenes with multiple figures, the inside lid similarly painted, the inside base painted with a bouquet surrounded by insects, molded gilt metal mounts, the back panel with a parcel inscribed AB conjoined, possibly for the artist

some rubbing to edges of base where it rests, also rubbing to gilt metal mount, a few minimal cracks, otherwise good, nice scale and painting
