Condition

STRUCTURE Original canvas. PAINT SURFACE Scattered patches of craquelure, mainly to the white paint of the dress, but generally in good stable condition. Small pinholes to each corner, with some associated paint loss. ULTRAVIOLET UV light reveals some infilling to the craquelure of the dress and the suggestion of minor scattered spots elsewhere. FRAME Held in a decorative gilded composite frame. Backboard attached to the reverse.
