There is some undulation to the sheet beneath the mount. There is a light crease to the lower right corner of the sheet beneath the mount. The work ewould benefit from being re-mounted. Very minor surface dirt but otherwise in good condition. Held in a decorative plaster frame which has warped slightly, under glass.

Cecilia Green was William Russell Flint's favourite model, providing him with the absolute ideal subject with which to work, and as the artist himself pointed out,  'I had been drawing her years and years before I met her'. Cecilia features in some of Flint's most beatuful drawings and that both the current lot and lot 103 were given as gifts by the artist, suggests the affectionate regard with which Flint considered Cecilia.
