An ormolu, cloisonné enamel and lapis lazuli casket

rectangular, the lid applied with Slavic trophies and scrolling foliage within a stippled ground border adorned with foliate motifs and set at each corner with stylised birds, the sides decorated with dragons   

There are minor chips to the enamel in places. The far left-hand side ormolu panel is slightly loose. The wood on the interior of the casket is cracked in places, especially prominent on the lid. The original key is lacking.
