Catalogue Note

In 1612 Prince Dmitry Pozharsky and Kuzma Minin rallied the all-Russian volunteer army and succeeded in expelling the Poles from the Moscow Kremlin.  Two hundred years later a statue was commissioned to commemorate the event.  The offered lot is a copy of the original monument sculpted by Ivan Martos and displayed in Red Square, Moscow.
