oval, the concave centre applied with a beetle eyeing a cabochon ruby within a faceted border, surmounted by three carved leaves, 56 standard, in original fitted leather case

At the time this brooch was made Alexander Tillander's firm was situated on the corner of Bolshaya Morskaya and Gorohovaja only a few houses away from Fabergé. The firm employed thirty goldsmiths and specialised in gold jewellery.
