Description

  • 31 by 27cm., 12 1/4 by 10 1/2 in.
the Virgin's maphorion and Christ Child's robes picked out in seed pearls, set with red and green pastes, the halos and borders with repoussé and chased foliate friezes, 84 standard

Condition

Some loss of paint to the Virgin's face. The seed pearls and pastes are slightly discoloured and the bottom left paste is slightly chipped and scratched. The icon appears to be in overall good condition. We would advise prospective buyers to view.
