Description
- diameter of saucer: 14cm., 5 1/2 in., height of cup: 6.5cm., 2 1/2 in.
the bodies of the cups and the saucer cavettos decorated with countryside scenes, painted in black within burnt red borders, the rims decorated in similar colours with scrolling foliate designs, with blue manufactory marks and green Imperial cyphers for Nicholas II and Alexander III, each cup and saucer with matching inventory numbers 280/4, 280/5, 280/7, 280/9, 280/10
Condition
There is a tiny chip to the rim of one of the cups, otherwise the colours are fresh and the set appears to be in overall very good condition.

Catalogue Note
The very elegant painted rural scenes on these cups and saucers is reminiscent of work by Mikhail Adamovich. The figural compositions and buildings are comparable to those found in his Northern War series.
