after a design by the artist, the cavetto painted with a red victory flag bearing the inscription in Cyrillic, dated 1917-1919 and decorated below with a hammer, sickle and head of corn, the cobalt blue borders with scrolling gilt foliage and flowers and agricultural tools, with green Imperial cypher for Nicholas II, dated 1898, no state manufactory mark

The patina of the porcelain under the plate has been damaged - either scratched or burned possibly at some point to try and remove marks. The gilding on the upper side of the plate is partially lost in places, visible in the photograph. The manufactory mark appears to have been blasted off.
