Condition

The sheet has a few pin holes at the top. The paper is a little discoloured with some minor handling creases. The colours are a little faded. Held in a simple wooden frame and under glass. Unexamined out of frame.

Catalogue Note

Liane Daydé was born in Paris in 1932 and studied at the Paris Opéra Ballet School. After becoming a principal dancer for the Opéra de Paris, she left the French capital in 1960 to work as an international guest artist. She created leading roles in Lifar's Blanche-Neige (1951), Fourberies (1952) and Romeo and Juliet (1955). She also danced Giselle, Coppélia and Suite en blanc with the Paris Opéra, and Sleeping Beauty with the Marquis de Cuevas Ballet.
