Condition

Original canvas. The paint surface is a little dirty. There are a few very light lines of craquelure in places. UV light reveals some scattered spots of retouching. Some of the peach pigments also fluoresce. Held in a brown and gold painted stained wood frame. Unexamined out of frame.

Catalogue Note

In 1926-28, Ekaterina Katchura-Falileeva was based in Berlin with her husband, the well-known artist Vadim Dmitrievich Falileev. During this time they exhibited together at the Amsler and Ruthandt gallery. Later, in 1930, their work was shown in a large exhibition of Russian art held in the German capital.
