Condition

The board appears sound. There is a layer of surface dirt and discoloured varnish. There are patches of paint shrinkage on the red of the sitter's chair and a few fine lines of craquelure. UV light reveals no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a moulded frame. Unexamined out of frame.
