Condition
An impressive piece in good overall condition. Colour is much warmer than the catalogue illustration suggests, with a golden tone to the ivory and to the patina which is lacking in the photograph. Face and extremeties with some very minor striations. Right thumb with some restoration. Stomach with some more significant fine cracking, as partially seen in the catalogue illustration. Base with some old marks and scratches and some minor chips. Stylish and ready for display.
This piece contains ivory, which may be subject to export and import restrictions. Ivory cannot be imported into the United States. Your attention is drawn to the Endangered Species section in the Guide for Prospective Buyers at the back of the sale catalogue.
