Condition

The board is coming loose from the frame. There is a layer of surface dirt and some wear along the edges of the board and to the corners. UV light reveals no signs of reotuching. Held in a painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.

Catalogue Note

Roginsky incorporated the faces of his friends into this depiction of one of Moscow's most notorious markets. Unusually, he has also included a self-portrait at the centre of the composition.
