Condition

Original canvas which is a little loose in the stretcher; the lower section is slightly undulated. There is a layer of light surface dirt and lines of craquelure to the impasto and in patches throughout the lower half. There are small flecks of paint loss throughout, some abrasion to the edges and paint loss to the top left corner. There is a light surface scratch over the handle of the vase and an indentation to the canvas from the reverse half way up the right hand edge. UV light reveals an uneven layer of varnish and no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a moulded plaster frame. Unexamined out of frame.
