Condition
Original canvas. There is a layer of light surface dirt and lines of raised craquelure to the top left corner. There are minor chips of paint loss to the sky. The canvas has been weakened and undulates in two places: on the lower pole and in the top left quartile, which corresponds to the aforementioned chip of paint loss. There is a patch to the reverse of the canvas. UV light reveals evidence of retouching to the edges and in places throughout. Held in an ornate gold painted plaster frame. Unexamined out of frame.
