  • signed in Cyrillic and dated 81 l.r.
  • oil on canvas
  • 140 by 200cm., 55 by 78 3/4 in.

Condition

Original canvas. The paint surface is dirty and there is a layer of disoloured varnish. There are eight spots of paint loss running horizontally 1/3 of the way down the canvas and two small areas lower down with raised craquelure. These could easily be treated by a good restorer. UV light reveals a few minor flecks of retouching above the right hand angel visible in the catalogue image. Held in a simple wood frame with gold painted edges. Unexamined out of frame.
