Condition

Oil on original canvas. The surface is a little dirty and covered with a layer of varnish. The colors appear fresh and vibrant and there is some impasto to the oranges and to the lower left corner. The paint layer is a little thin in a couple places and pigment has been lost along the central right edge. There are also some very minor scraches and thin lines of craquelure (possibly original) in a couple places. Under UV certain pigments fluoresce and some extremely minor retouches are visible, though the varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a gold painted wood frame with plaster molding. Unexamined out of frame.
