- height of tea glass holder 6 in. 15.2 cm
the sides, handle, and base engraved in imitation of wood grain, the handle with trompe l'oeil embroidered linen towels, an attached plaque on the front depicts a male and female peasant seated on opposite sides of an unengraved shield with coronet and figures of a moujik playing a squeezebox and a peasant woman pouring from a pitcher stand on two of the four raised platform feet, by Alexander Nikolaevich Sokolov, St. Petersburg, 1879, handle of the teaspoon decorated with the bust of a peasant woman, by Khlebnikov, Moscow, 1875. Complete with heavy faceted glass liner.
