Catalogue Note
Evgeny Gorokhovsky began drawing at the age of eleven under the tutelage of his father, the noted nonconformist artist Eduard Gorokhovsky. In 1968, he continued his studies at the Moscow Art Theater School, and went on to work as a stage designer after graduation. Working in a photorealist mode, the artist has remarked that the documentary nature of images is very important for him.
