Condition
The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. 502 East 74th St. New York, NY 212-734-3920, simonparkes@msn.com , an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's.
This painting seems to be in its original condition. The canvas is stretched on its original stretcher. The paint layer is clean and the varnish seems to be original.
There are a couple of small scuffs which have been made above the stove. There is a light scratch next to the clock in the blue background, some minor waves to the canvas in the corner and possibly an old restoration in the upper right. These are the only elements that require attention.
