Condition

Oil on original canvas. The surface is dirty and covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is minor craquelure in some places, particularly to the upper sky, though the paint layer appears stable. There are also some small stains and very minor flakes of paint loss in some places. Under UV certain pigments fluoresce and some small retouches are visible, though the varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a gold painted wood frame. Unexamined out of frame.
