Condition
Original canvas, which has been extended by a canvas strip approximately 20 cm. wide along the lower edge. The picture is fairly clean and ready to hang. UV light reveals retouching along the afore-mentioned seam, no doubt addressing craquelure and paintloss which have occurred along this seam. Further scattered spots of retouching can be seen to the background, the sitter's face, the outer edge of her right arm and in places along the lower edge. Held in a modern silvered wood frame with plaster mouldings. Unexamined out of frame.
