Canvas has been relined. The work has been executed on very fine canvas and the weave is visible throughout. There is a horizontal line across the work across the bridge of the lower head's nose. A few repairs to canvas, including a 6cm tear to centre bottom at base of heads. There is waterstaining to the canvas especially visible to the top left and bottom left corners. There is further darker staining to the lower left edge. Not removed from or inspected without the frame.
