gilt bronze and ebonised wood, the central section with four drawers, tapering legs terminating in sabots

Condition

An elegant desk. Old marks and scratches overall, particularly to the writing surface, which has a smoother lacquer than does the rest of the piece. Bronze mounts with some denting and chipping, as well as typical minor blemishes and tarnishing. Finish retouched in places. Sabots mounted slightly unevenly. Attractive and ready for use and display.
