Not examined out of frame, small repaired tear approximately 1/2 inch at top, some minor abrasions.

Catalogue Note

William Constable was essentially a topographical watercolor artist who left behind a legacy of drawings and paintings executed both in America and in England.  Evidence of his surveying background is to be seen in his early paintings.
