Description

  • height 6 3/4 in.
  • 17.1 cm
modeled with an ochre-streaked and brown-spotted coat seated nibbling a nut on a green-washed chamfered rectangular base. Some restoration.

Condition

The base along the squirrel's right side has been broken in two pieces and restored back; there is a 1/4-in. chip to the restoration along one break line. There is a 3/8-in. restored flat chip to tip of the tail at the back and a restored fracture running horizontally from the edge of the tail (on the same side as the break in the base) for approximately 1 in. at about the midpoint of its length; a bit of the restoration has chipped away
