  • height 9 3/4 in.
  • 24.8 cm
with lightly molded and colorfully enameled plumage, modeled in a seated position with its head tuned. Chip and some restoration.

Condition

The tip of the beak is restored and the comb has been broken into at least three pieces and restored back. There is a 2-in. firing-related haircrack to the side beneath the front of its right wing issuing from a firing crack curving around the base of its neck on the interior and a second fine 1 1/2-in haircrack issuing from the other end of the original firing crack. The flange of the base has a 1 1/2-in. chip and there is some occasional minor flaking to the enamels, particularly on the base.
