With numerous areas lifting, flaking and losses to the lacquer overall; lacquer unstable; areas of restoration with some inpainting especially to the extremities; minor rippling to the panels; some of the eye-hook hinges and pins are either lacking or replaced; the fourth panel in from the left (as illustrated in the catalogue) has two larger areas of losses to the lacquer towards the upper part of the left side edge, the first is approximately 5 inches by 1 inch and the other is approximately 2 inches by 2 inches; the screen would benefit from restoration.
