Condition
Top cracked, proper left rear corner of top cracked; missing two interior dividers on upper drawer; secondary wood is cidrella and white pine; minor patching to veneers throughout; appears to have been refinished.

Catalogue Note
This sophisticated worktable displays design elements consistent with the fine craftsmanship of John (1738-1818) and Thomas Seymour (1771-1849) of Boston. The rich materials, unity of design, serpentine-front form with turret corners, the turned legs of this distinct type, and use of highly visual veneers are common in their shop practice while the basic form with semiovolo sides and top edges represents the rarest worktable form made by the shop.
